These books are comprehensive compilations of results tables and statistics across the covered period. There are a just a few black and white photographs to illustrate certain events. The contents of Volume 1 cover the following topics; Introduction, Race Data & Abbreviations, History of Crystal Palace, Pioneering Years – Competitions 1899-1906, Racing on Path & Cinders 1927-1940, Before the War 1937-1939, and Post-War Resumption 1953-1961. The contents of Volume 2 cover the following topics; High Water 1962-1967, Sun in SE19 1968-1970, Swan Song 1971-1972, and Other Events 1953-2000.
