A fascinating autobiography of Antoine Raffaelli’s life, which for many would have been the perfect dream! The book recounts and illustrates 40 years of discoveries, with cars which he saved from decay or destruction. His collecting days began with an Alfa Romeo 1750SS at the age of 20 and later included a collection of Matras when the factory closed. Raffaelli’s main focus has always been collecting the Bugatti marque. As well as saving so many of these thoroughbreds from Molsheim, he has uncovered the early histories of more than a hundred Type 35 Bugattis, the most successful racing cars of their day. This previously unpublished information, plus dozens of period photographs from his collection have produced a most fascinating read.
