Allard

This is the involving story of the cars and of the man who put his name on the bonnet. Sydney Allard was, first and foremost, an enthusiast with a particular love of ‘big’ engines cars. He was the forerunner of others such as Briggs Cunning ham and Carroll Shelby who also discovered the fun of producing and driving cars with a large, torquey V8 engine. Allard’s were fast, simple, brutal and the saloons often described as ugly, but in their time and type of competition really successful, and beyond all doubt they were colourful and fun.
