Mention the letters GTO, and one immediately thinks of Ferrari - for many, the follow on thought will be the 250 GTO, perhaps one of the most desirable cars in the world, for certain others it may the 288 GTO that comes to mind. Unveiled at the 1984 Geneva Motor Show, the 288 GTO with a production run of 200, it was already sold out before production had even started! Within the pages of this book are covered the origins and sprit of the 288 GTO design drawings, hand book information reproduced, details of interior and instrumentation on the dash board. The mechanical aspect of the car is also catered for, with a look at the engine, suspension units, body panels and technical specification. The GTO has already become a classic car, and for any enthusiast or potential owner of such a machine this book offers very good reference, with a chapter on the road impression by Stefano Pasini and a look at the GTO heritage with Luigi Orsini and the 250 GTO of the 1960s, and its racing exploits.
