The epic Matra sports - the book contains a concise history of the automotive exploits of this French firm. Founded in 1941, Matra had grown dynamically with the studies and achievements in the field of missiles and aeronautic technology. It was therefore quite unused to the world of motor sport, however this was not to slow down their focus on car manufacturing and racing, which, through their involvement in Formula 1 and Sports car racing, attracted drivers such as Jackie Stewart, Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Jack Brabham, Chris Amon and Jacky Ickx.
