Targa Florio - The magnificent race

The Targa Florio continues to captivate countless fans today, and it's hard to imagine a race set in a more breathtaking landscape. For photographer Antonio Biasioli, this stunning backdrop is exactly why the event deserved a book.

In this work, Biasioli chronicles the origins of the race up until 1967 in an extensive chapter, followed by a dedicated section on Porsche. The years 1968 to 1977 are explored in greater detail, with each year receiving individual attention. The book concludes with insights from several contemporary witnesses, including Vaccarella, Audetto, and Giunti, as well as photographers and other key figures.

As is typical in Antonio Biasioli's books, this one features a wealth of photos, showcasing not only the top cars but also many participants in the smaller classes. While the main text of the book is in Italian, an enclosed booklet contains the English translations.
