Monza Una Grande Storia A Glorious History

From the moment it was inaugurated in 1922, the great motor sport events of the world have stopped off at Monza. The most famous drivers, the most powerful and sophisticated cars have challenged each other on this circuit. “Victory at Monza has a special taste to it,” Enzo Ferrari said. But there again, Monza is not just synonymous with Formula One. All categories of events have been held and will continue to be held there. The hundreds of pictures brought together in this book tell the incomparable story of the most celebrated autodrome in the world. With a fine selection of period photographs, motor racing and motorcycle events at this venue have been brought to life. There are maps of the circuit showing its development over the years and the various course options. In the appendix are recorded the winners of the Italian Grand Prix from 1922 to 2004, Monza 1000km/Trofeo Caracciolo race 1965 to 2004, the Motor Cycle Grand Prix of Nations 1922 to 1987 and the Superbike World Championship Race 1990 to 2004.
