This was the birthplace of the Lotus marque, the development of which is traced in detail, from Chapman's first tentative steps as a kit manufacturer through his formation of Team Lotus to his ultimate emergence as a successful manufacturer of Grand Prix cars. An array of excellent photographs support an equally fine text from a well respected author.
