Speedster 50th Anniversary: Celebration of an Icon

Porsche's Speedster sports car turned 50 years old in June 2004. To honour this sports car's golden anniversary, owners and admirers of this icon came from around the globe to attend a very special celebration. For three days, June 25th through the 27th, California's Monterey Peninsula rumbled with the throaty roar of this dynamic car as well as other Porsches, along with their devoted fans. The Speedster's predecessors — Porsche 356-001 (the first car to bear the "Porsche" name) and several sport roadsters — were also handsomely showcased at this remarkable event, as well as one of the many of the Speedster's successors, the Convertible D. This book brings together images of the event, reflecting the timeless beauty of Porsche's masterful creation.
