Carroll Shelby's Racing Cobra: A Definitive Pictorial History

This is the story of one of the strangest matches ever made; a good ‘ole boy from Texas, the gentlemen at Thames Ditton, England and the simple businessmen of Dearborn, Michigan. John Christy probably describes the Cobra best having seen it debut at the New York Auto show in 1962, ‘everyone who saw the car knew it could suck the headlights out of anything else in the building.’ That’s what the car was all about, and that is what this book is about; how the Cobra, the supreme cobble job of all time, blasted to the chequered flag and turned sports car racing upside down. It was a time and feat never to be repeated again, making this achievement all the more remarkable. The text is very informative and superbly illustrated with circa 400 pictures throughout.
