The Jaguar Tradition

Few men have had so profound an effect on the world's motor industry as Sir William Lyons and fewer still have left their own personal mark so clearly embedded in their pro-ducts. From the Austin Swallow to the XJ12, his cars have been HIS cars. Here now is an opportunity to appraise and appreciate the cars he has spent nearly a lifetime creating. `The Jaguar Tradition' shows 350 photographs of them, from the rare Swallow bodied Fiat and Morris Cowley, by way of the SS Jaguars including the SS100 through the XK Series, C,D and E Types to the XJ series. Competition success is also recorded by way of events such as the 1933 Alpine Trial, the Monte Carlo Rally and Le Mans. This new revised edition includes the XJS and the Bertone bodied version first shown at the Geneva Show in March 1977.
